The South Silver Spring Neighborhood Association is hosting The 2nd Annual South Silver Spring Block Party! Bring family and friends to celebrate and build a strong community.

• 80 arts and crafts vendors
• Children's activities including a moon bounce, street painting and a fire engine to play on!
• Food and drink including Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Italian, Middle Eastern, European desserts and Southern cooking
• Amazing raffle prizes including free dinners at local restaurants and groceries from Safeway, Giant and Trader Joe's
• Food & clothing donation drive for Shepherds Table, a local non-profit providing social services for the homeless.
• Pet adoptions by Washington Animal Rescue
• Featuring Acorn Market with a wide variety of local vendors selling wares in Acorn Park

• Where: Kennett St., from Newell Ave to the Kennett St. garage
• Why: Break out of your apartment and condo building and meet your neighbors in South Silver Spring! Let's start building a community in this new residential area! Last year nearly 2,000 people participated with over 40 vendors and 10 live performances and this year is going to be even bigger!
